Assume that you are the newly appointed HR Manager of a company who is to oversee the HR policy administration. You supervise the front desk receptionist and the couriers who are non-exempt employees. You are conducting an HR audit and discover that there are no time records for any of the employees.
Additionally, you soon discover that the receptionist, who works the front desk, helps several other employees with administrative duties. She often prepares files for the outside sales staff and organizes their paperwork. At times, the sales staff work late to meet necessary deadlines and the receptionist stays late to help them finalize their paperwork.
